Parkington home is home to Mr and Mrs Parkington. Because it looked eerie and, as Helen put it, "like one of the Boxwoods' Halloween houses", Mariella used to play that it was haunted when she was little.

When Mrs Parkington's great-aunt (also named Martha) died, she left this house to them in her will, so the Parkingtons and John moved in, having sold their previous house during the events of Martha's Pickle.

When Martha said, "It's me, Martha", this scared Mrs Parkington as she thought the house was haunted by her great-aunt Martha's ghost.
